A bespoke garden office built using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to create a modern, energy-efficient workspace designed for year-round use.
Scope of work
Site Preparation
- Cleared and levelled the garden area.
- Installed a reinforced concrete slab as the base for the structure.
Construction Process
- Installed SIP floor panels on recycled plastic bearers with a full vapour barrier.
- Assembled wall SIPs using insulated joints and airtight seals.
- Fitted SIP roof panels, adding a torch-on two-layer system for weather protection.
- Cut openings and installed double-glazed uPVC windows and doors for natural light.
External Finishes
- Applied composite cladding for a modern, durable, weather-resistant exterior.
- Added roof trim, guttering and overhang for drainage and protection.
Internal Fit-Out
- Plasterboarded and decorated the interior.
- Installed electrics, lighting, sockets and Wi-Fi connection.
- Fitted laminate flooring and skirting for a clean, contemporary look.

Results
The finished garden office is a robust, insulated and visually appealing workspace that performs efficiently all year round. Built with sustainability and usability in mind, it offers an ideal balance of speed, quality and long-term durability.
